Jallmay Alto Folklor was founded in 1998. They originated from the cultural association Jallmay, which means farmer in Quechua, the language of the original native populaton. Their goal is to save and preserve traditional musical culture for future generations. They do this by breathing new life into traditional music and dance, and bring this to both the local communities and the international stage.

From the Pacific Ocean to the Andes, from the tropical rainforest to the Cordillera, from the golden age of the Incas to the conquest of the continent by the Spanish conquerors, these talented artists will lead you through their diverse country and through their history.
